Certificate of Attendance
A Certificate of Attendance will be available for all delegates attending the ECE 2015 Congress.

Dublin’s climate is mild and very changeable. Winter temperatures average 4°C-7°C (39°-44°F) and in summer between 16°C-20°C (60°F-67°F).

Major credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, stores, cafés and restaurants. Photograph ID may be required when using a credit card.

The Euro (€) is the only currency that is officially recognised as legal tender in the Republic of Ireland. Each Euro has 100 cents. ECE 2015 only accept Euros.
Cancellation or modification of the Congress                                                                
In the unlikely event, ECE 2015 has the right to alter or cancel the Congress without prior notice. This includes any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of ECE 2015 which prevents or impedes the holding of the Congress, including, but not limited to, government action, war or hostilities, riot or civil commotion, plague or other epidemic such as SARS, bird flu, earthquake, flood, hurricane, cyclone, fire or other natural physical disaster, explosion, accident or breakdown, strike, lack of the usual means of transportation or terrorism. ECE 2015 are not liable for any direct or indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses, expenditures or any other inconveniences or costs caused by such modification or cancellation of the Congress. Registration fees will not be reimbursed by ECE 2015.

The European Society of Endocrinology and Bioscientifica Ltd cannot accept liability for injuries or losses of whatever nature incurred by delegates, nor for loss of or damage to luggage and/or personal belongings. Please check the validity of your own travel insurance. All reasonable endeavours will be made to hold the ECE 2015 and to present its program as scheduled under circumstances which assure the comfort and safety of all participants. However, neither the ESE nor its committees, representatives or agents, shall be held liable by any person as a result of the cancellation of the ECE 2015 or of any of the arrangements, programs or plans connected therewith, or for any injury, damage or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while travelling to or from, or during such person's presence in Ireland in connection with the Congress. Participants are fully liable for damages caused to third parties and property. All delegates shall have a valid, fully comprehensive third party liability insurance.
220 / 240 volts (50 cycles) is the standard electrical current throughout Ireland. Plugs are 3-pin flat. Adapters are therefore required for 2-pin appliances.

Coffee and lunches are included in the registration fee and will be served daily.
The official language of the ECE 2015 is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Passport, Visa and Letter of Invitation
EU citizens must either present a passport or an ID card valid for the duration of the stay in order to enter Ireland for tourist visits of up to three months. Citizens of other countries must have a valid passport. Some non-EU citizens are required to produce a visa. Please contact your travel agent or the nearest Irish diplomatic post for further information. Please note that we cannot enter into correspondence with the Irish Authorities on your behalf and invitation letter does not imply any financial liability on our part.

In accordance with the policy of the ESE, it is strictly forbidden to take photographs during sessions or posters.

Social Media Policy

The European Soceity of Endocrinology welcome the use of social media. To ensure that the needs of all parties are met, we ask that delegates using social media comply with the following policy.

  • We ask that all writers attending ECE 2015 gain approval from a speaker/poster presenter prior to quoting or publishing that individual’s scientific results on the internet or through other forms of media. This policy applies to both professional writers/journalists and to non-journalists blogging about the congress or otherwise sharing information amongst a group of individuals.
  • Please refrain from taking photos of any session/poster without prior consent of the congress organisers.
  • All delegates are respectfully asked to refrain from communicating using mobile devices whilst lectures are in progress.
In restaurants a customary service charge may be added to a bill. If a service charge is included, tipping is not necessary, unless the service received is exemplary. If a service charge was not included, a normal tip is between 10%-15%. With other services from hairdressers to taxi drivers, it is generally not necessary to tip although staff will always appreciate acknowledgement of service.
Travel Insurance
A travel insurance policy to cover theft, loss and medical problems is recommended. The ECE Secretariat will not be held liable for illness, accidents or thefts suffered by attendees during the congress or their stay in Ireland before or after the meeting.
