A key ESE goal is to deliver outstanding scientific and clinical endocrine education opportunities to support its members and endocrine professionals across Europe. In addition to the annual Congress, ESE runs a comprehensive calendar of training and career development events through Europe  and beyond including; Clinical Updates, Postgraduate Training, ESE Themed Meetings, Basic Science Meetings for early career and established endocrinologists.

The Society has five official journals which cover the full spectrum of endocrinology, assisting in ESE’s aim of raising the profile of European endocrinology.

General Council and Membership

The overall governing body of ESE is the General Council, which comprises all ordinary members, affiliated societies and corporate members. Ordinary membership is open to any individual working in the field of endocrinology and hormonal systems. Affiliated Society membership is open to national endocrine societies in Europe and countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea as well as pan-European and international sub-specialist endocrine societies. Corporate membership is open to companies working in the field of endocrinology. All memberships are subject to approval by the ESE Executive Committee.

Meetings and Events

For each European Congress of Endocrinology, a Programme Organising Committee and Local Organising Committee are appointed. Key members of these committees for the next Congress can be found  here.

 

Prizes, Grants and Awards

At each European Congress of Endocrinology two prize lectures are given: the Geoffrey Harris Prize in Neuroendocrinology and the European Journal of Endocrinology Prize. In addition, ESE offers a range of meeting grants, travel grants and awards.
